Transportation Safety & Compliance Specialist
In 1972 Mike began work as a truck driver for a local cartage company driving both A & DZ units. For over 18 years Mike had the opportunity to develop hands on transportation skills in many aspects of the trucking industry including household moving, flat bed, A & B trains, liquid tanker, and LTL & TL dry freight, in both city and highway environments.
In 1989 Mike became Safety Coordinator in an LTL environment. Responsibilities included hiring and training a dock crew of 30 people as well as all aspects of Health & Safety. He also acted as a management representative on the Joint Health & Safety Committee and Administrator of the workplace WSIB program including an "Early & Safe Return to Work Program"
Mike was soon promoted to "Safety Manager & Fleet Driver Trainer". In this capacity he was responsible for driver hiring, driver training, pre hire & post accident interviews, collision investigation, & insurance reporting. He also conducted numerous safety meetings, driver orientations, and developed a rookie driver mentoring program.
Mike has a wealth of knowledge, skills, and abilities to share with his counterparts and Professional Transport Operators and has most recently created a training company to pass on those skills.

- Transportation Health and Safety Association of Ontario "Principals of Effective Training" for adult learners
- Transportation Health and Safety Association of Ontario "Lift Truck Operator Trainer Course"
