Road Tests
You can make or break your candidate with the road test. Mike Kroetsch is a terrific tester. He uses the road test as an extentsion of the interview. As he is testing the driver, he is getting to know them better and beginging to plan their development. Mike spends considerble time in making the candidate feel comfortable . He understands that many seasoned vetrans have gone many years between road tests and can be intimidated by the thought of "Someone Watching". Nerves can make the best driver do a lousy test, so spending a few minutes putting a person at ease can give you a better example of how they will perform on the job.
